Historically, the Navy Yard was a major shipbuilding facility for the United States. Over the years it played a crucial role in the lives of many veterans. Today, it is commited to perseving this history through public programming.

Much of what happens inside the Yard remains invisible to the public. Tenants struggle for visibility and visitors often find navigation confusing. The Yard’s And the Yard’s broader identity—as a place where ideas are built and industries launched—is not fully reflected in its digital or physical presence.

We see an opportunity to reintroduce the Yard as a vibrant, visible ecosystem of cutting-edge businesses and bold ideas.

Our vision is to design an integrated system that promotes the incredible companies housed here, makes wayfinding intuitive across the sprawling campus, and strengthens the Yard’s identity as Brooklyn’s industrial and creative heartbeat.
